Together, we embody the vision of responsible hospitality.Take the opportunity to become a Heartist, and let your heart guide you in this world where life beats faster.Job DescriptionActions cleaning duties within the kitchen, food preparation areas and scullery.General pantry duties and maintain cleanliness of pantry, fridges and freezers.Assist in the preparation of food as directed by the Executive Chef or supervisory team.Maintain cleanliness and rotation of stock in pantry, fridge and freezers.Assist with the receiving and storing of stock.Ensure all kitchens are kept clean and tidy according to current Health & Hygiene regulations.Ensure each outlet is supplied with sanitized clean and dry operational equipment.To count, sort and prepare operating equipment as required.Ensure all equipment, crockery, cutlery & glassware is hygienically and safely stored.Ensure correct handling of chemicals and equipment as per manufacturers instructions.Follow the regular cleaning rosters and standard procedures for deep cleaning of floors, walls, coolers, ovens & operating equipment.To contribute to cost control through energy conservation and the careful use of water, cleaning materials and other appliances.Ensure garbage is collected and disposed of correctly from all kitchen areas each shift. Utilize safe and hygienic methods for the removal of dry and wet waste.Complete all duties, and ensure a concise hand over.QualificationsChemical handling experience & understanding of safe work practices preferred.Service oriented with an eye for detail.Multicultural awareness and able to work with people from diverse cultures.Ability to work independently and demonstrated initiative in a dynamic environment.Self-motivated and energetic.Strong focus and passion for hotel operationsConfident and articulate communication, negotiation, relationship and networking skillsTime management skills with the ability to multitaskAdditional InformationWe are far more than a worldwide leader.
