Job Description Perform cleaning duties within the kitchen, food preparation areas, and scullery. Maintain cleanliness of pantry, fridges, and freezers, including general pantry duties. Assist in food preparation as directed by the Executive Chef or supervisory team. Ensure cleanliness and proper rotation of stock in pantry, fridge, and freezers. Assist with receiving and storing stock. Keep kitchens clean and tidy according to current health and hygiene regulations. Supply outlets with sanitized, clean, and dry operational equipment. Count, sort, and prepare operating equipment as required. Store crockery, cutlery, and glassware hygienically and safely. Handle chemicals and equipment correctly, following manufacturers instructions. Follow cleaning schedules and procedures for deep cleaning floors, walls, coolers, ovens, and equipment. Contribute to cost control through energy conservation and careful use of water, cleaning materials, and appliances. Dispose of garbage properly from all kitchen areas each shift, using safe and hygienic methods. Complete all duties and provide a clear handover. Qualifications Experience in chemical handling and understanding of safe work practices preferred. Service-oriented with attention to detail. Multicultural awareness and ability to work with diverse cultures. Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative in a dynamic environment. Self-motivated and energetic. Strong focus and passion for hotel operations. Confident communication, negotiation, relationship, and networking skills. Time management skills with the ability to multitask.
