Job Description

Your role at Rijk Zwaan Overview In this hands-on leadership role, you will oversee the daily activities of our nursery, focusing on the quality propagation of vegetable seeds for our Research and Development and Seed Production departments. Your high attention to detail in monitoring plant growth, health, climate, and Integrated Pest Management will ensure robust and thriving plants. Leading a small team of horticultural assistants, you will ensure all tasks are performed to the highest quality standards. The role is diverse, and your organizational skills will be key in coordinating hydroponic processes and ensuring the seed processing team performs accurate and timely seed processing during harvesting months. Your Contribution You are known for your collaborative nature, proactive approach, and accountability, ensuring you deliver outstanding results. Liaising with international and local teams, communication and planning are crucial to this role. Your quick responses and adaptability enable you to efficiently implement corrective actions while collaborating closely with technical specialists. You actively seek improvements and are open to sharing your ideas. With a passion for sustainability and a love for vegetables, you truly embody what Rijk Zwaan stands for.
