Rentwell is YWCA Canberras charitable property management service. YWCA Canberra is a trusted registered community housing provider, with more than 60 years of experience in property management, transitional housing, affordable housing and supportive tenancy services.We manage and lease privately owned investment properties in the ACT at below 75% market rate, providing affordable housing to people who are struggling to maintain tenancies in the mainstream market.About The RoleThe Rentwell Property Manager is responsible for tenancy and property management in YWCA Canberras not for profit affordable rental service within regulatory and compliance frameworks The National Regulatory Framework for Community Housing, the Residential Tenancies Act (1997) and the ACT Civil and Administrative Tribunal.The Rentwell Property Manager will provide exceptional client and relationship focussed property management services to all stakeholders, including property owners and tenants.ResponsibilitiesThey will work from a strengths-based, gender and trauma-informed practice framework and will additionally hold a case load including the following responsibilities:identification of potential eligible properties.assessing the property owners eligibility for the service (including potential land tax exemptions)property inspections.marketing of the property.managing repairs and maintenance.identification of tenants.assessing tenant eligibility for the affordable housing according to regulated income levels.management of arrears.administration and data entry; andregular communication with property owners and tenantsprocess all invoices and payments to suppliers and ownersWork closely with Government agencies on special projects as required.About YouYou are a proactive and ethical professional with excellent interpersonal, written, and communication skills. You bring strong financial management capabilities and a strategic mindset, supported by proven experience in property management systems, Microsoft Office, and data reporting. Committed to teamwork, reflective practice, and continuous improvement, you demonstrate sound judgment, professional integrity, and the ability to prioritise workloads effectively. You thrive in dynamic environments, use initiative, and adapt flexibly to meet deadlines and organisational goals.The right person will haveQualifications relevant to Real Estate/Property Management are desired as are qualifications in Community Services or equivalent.Local ACT Property Management experienceStakeholder Engagement and Relationship experienceExperience working effectively with vulnerable and disadvantaged peopleExperience or demonstrated understanding of the issues facing low income CanberransExperience and/or the ability to work competently within a strengths-based, gender and trauma informed framework with women, including older women and those that are non-binary, female identifying, from diverse backgrounds including Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander, culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and LGBTQIA+Experience of using Property Tree and Inspection Manager (or similar systems)About YWCA CanberraYWCA Canberra is a respected feminist, not-for-profit community organisation which has been providing community services and representing womens issues in the Canberra community since its establishment in 1929.
