The working environment is varied and the Office of the Valuer-General (OVG) will support your professional development through on the job training, training courses, and upskilling in a supportive team environment.There is opportunity for accelerated advancement from Graduate Valuer to Experienced Valuer under the Professional Stream based on knowledge, skills and experience.As a Valuer, you will:Complete statutory valuations under the Valuation of Land Act 2001 and assist with quality assurance of valuations and property data on a statewide basis.Undertake and review valuations for statutory rating purposes, sale, purchase and rental of property undertaken by contract Valuers.Liaise with government agencies, councils, contractors and public bodies.Undertake client valuation and compulsory acquisition valuations and participate in negotiations towards settlement.About usThe Department of Natural Resources and Environment Tasmania (NRE Tas) is committed to our vision of delivering a sustainable Tasmania where our natural resources, cultural values and environment are recognised and used sustainably to support our future prosperity.
