Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it.Job DescriptionDeveloping electronic systems and components to use within equipment or machinery; supports other engineers to perform tasks when necessary.ResponsibilitiesDevelopment and execution of test plans for underground mining machines, autonomy systems, and technology software.Investigation, data collection and reporting of product issues to the subsystem level and assisting in the resolution.Planning and improving testing procedures and operations to make tests more reliable, efficient, and cost effective.Maintaining and operating Caterpillar technology proving grounds to be available for demonstration, training, and product validation.Key Skills RequiredAnalytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviours.Project Management: Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.Technical Excellence: Knowledge of mining machine, networking, software, or radios and how they are applied in mining; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges.Product Testing: Knowledge of product testing approaches, techniques, and tools; ability to design, plan and execute testing strategies and tactics to ensure product qualityTroubleshooting Technical Problems: Knowledge of troubleshooting approaches, tools, and techniques; ability to anticipate, detect and resolve technical problems in a product development environment.Basic QualificationsDegree or equivalent experience desiredAt least 5 years of professional job-related experiencePosting Dates:May 22, 2025 - June 5, 2025Caterpillar is an Equal Opportunity Employer.Not ready to apply?
