Rapidly growing 130+ person Australian owned, multiple rolesAttractive salary package, flexible working hoursAbout the RoleAs a key member of the Growth Team, the Business Development Manager will identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities across both defence and commercial sectors. This role requires a dynamic and strategic thinker who can navigate complex sales cycles, build relationships with key stakeholders, and collaborate cross-functionally to drive revenue growth.Identify and Generate New Opportunities: proactively seek out and identify new growth areas, researching, networking, and prospecting. Develop and implement effective sales strategies aligned with strategic goals to meet and exceed sales targets.Problem Solving: Analyze sector trends and challenges to understand customer needs and build trusted relationships. Translate complex product information into clear benefits, demonstrating value to customers.Client Acquisition: Develop strategies to attract new clients, attend industry events, deliver presentations, cold-call prospects, and visit customers for demonstrations.Client Onboarding: Ensure a smooth onboarding process for new clients, fostering strong initial relationships.Relationship Management: Maintain long-term client relationships, addressing needs, resolving issues, and collaborating with internal teams.Client Retention: Implement strategies to retain clients and maximize their value.Cross-Selling: Present additional services and solutions to existing clients to enhance their experience and grow business.Collaboration: Work with marketing, innovation, delivery, and support teams to align on business goals and client needs.Reporting: Keep accurate records and generate reports on activities and performance.Travel and Networking: Travel as needed for client meetings and industry events.Business Acumen: Demonstrate industry knowledge to identify growth opportunities and represent the company effectively.About You:Proactive, consultative sales professional with the ability to tailor solutions to client problems, thriving in fast-paced environments.Proven experience in business development or sales, preferably in defence, telecommunications, or government sectors.Committed to ongoing industry learning and professional development.Strong network across Australian and international markets, with opportunities for revenue growth and insights.Ability to understand and communicate complex technology solutions effectively.Reliable, with excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.Customer-oriented with analytical skills.Strong written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder engagement and support tasks.Self-motivated, organized, and enthusiastic, capable of autonomous and team work.Security Clearance:Applicants must be Australian Citizens eligible for an Australian Defence Security Clearance.
