In this role, you will be the frontline contact for guests, ensuring maximum satisfaction across various events, from corporate meetings to weddings and celebrations. This is a Casual position. Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Being the point of contact for all guest inquiriesAssisting the C+E Supervisor to ensure smooth event operationsSupporting with setup and pack-down of eventsEnsuring tables are set to high standardsMaintaining hygiene standards for food handling and presentationLeading, mentoring, and training new staffServing food and beveragesCleaning up after guests and maintaining a clean work environmentAssisting other F&B departments such as the restaurant and bar when requiredQualificationsSkills and Attributes for Success: Minimum 12 months experience in a luxury hotel environment Highly organized with effective priority management Strong focus on guest and team relations, with the ability to initiate contact and establish rapport easily Professional appearance and interpersonal skills Careful and precise in task execution, with a sense of urgency High energy levels and versatility in responding to guest requests and situations Ability to remain calm and effective during high-volume work periods Team player who contributes proactively Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays Valid RSA certificationAdditional InformationSofitel Melbourne on Collins offers career development opportunities within the hotel and the wider Accor Group.
