This is what has driven our teams since 1833.Since that time, we have developed to become a critical partner in the global aviation industry, delivering time-critical logistics services at over 340 locations in 65 countries, across 6 continents.But at the heart of our business is our people.Role PurposeLevel 3 classified employees are responsible for their own work, able to understand detailed instructions, and work from established procedures with limited supervision.What you will be doingPerform water samples in all aspects of potable water.Perform basic serviceability and maintenance checks of vehicles and/or equipment, including refuelling of vehicles.Use basic knowledge of keyboard and function keys to enter and retrieve data through computer terminals and operate printing devices.Perform duties involving ''hands-on'' activities related to aircraft handling and freight operations.Adhere to Menzies Aviation Ground Operating Manual.Other Ramp duties:Operate all ground handling and airport equipment, including tow tugs, belt loaders, freight/cargo handling equipment, and aircraft servicing vehicles, excluding high lift and main deck loaders.Perform ''hands-on'' activities associated with aircraft handling.Proficiently execute load plans for loading and unloading aircraft.Ensure baggage and freight are correctly handled, loaded, and unloaded from ULDs and vehicles.Open aircraft hold doors.Perform refuelling tasks following SOPs.Ensure precision loading in accordance with airline SLAs and SOPs.Conduct AAA scanning.Place cones and chock aircraft.Collect baggage from check-in counters.Use handheld scanners.Load bags into containers correctly.Transport bags to and from aircraft and inbound bags.Check the serviceability of ULDs and equipment, tagging and reporting unserviceable items.Maintain a clean working environment, including tubs, FOD, and muster room.Report scanning issues to supervisors.Be aware of arrival and departure times.Handle firearms correctly during inbound and outbound flights.Know IATA 3-letter port codes and 2-digit airline abbreviations.Follow proper procedures for unloading DIP lockers and delivering mail.Manage inbound bag delivery sequences and handle oversize items.Identify and deliver bags to the correct carousel and handle transship bags as required.For more details on the accountabilities of the role, please see the attached job description.Safety, Security, Wellbeing, and Compliance:You are responsible for taking reasonable care of your own health, safety, and wellbeing, and for others, in accordance with training and workplace rules.
