Reporting to the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor, you will provide effective maintenance in a safe, efficient and cost effective manner to ensure that production and statutory requirements are met. This is an excellent opportunity to further your experience and develop your technical skills and industry knowledge. This position is residentially based in Mount Isa.The successful candidate will be responsible for:Repair and maintenance of fixed plant within the Copper Smelter Undertaking preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs on equipment such as pumps, conveyor systems and hydraulic systems High and safe quality of work conducted and maintainedYou will have the following skillset and attributes:Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter Ability to think logically and to solve problems when required Flexible in terms of rosters and possible changes to rosters when required as per business needs Previous mining or heavy industry experience will be highly regardedBenefits Glencore offer the successful candidate for this position:Competitive Remuneration packaged with 12% superannuation.
