Join to apply for the Regional Operations Manager, WA role at Smith+Nephew This position will effectively manage, streamline, and safeguard all warehouse operations and deliveries to customers within the WA and National Loan customer base. Responsibilities include controlling the receipt, warehousing, transport, and distribution of advanced surgical device products and equipment. The role also involves participating as a member of the ANZ Operations Management team to support regional functions. What will you be doing? Manage the daily operations in WA to ensure bookings are completed timely to meet surgical schedules. Support the Sales team by liaising with customers'' back office and understanding their needs. Manage relationships with key stakeholders such as customer service and sales teams. People Provide leadership and adhere to Smith+Nephew''s people processes. Maximize employee engagement and ensure consistent team motivation. Organize shift coverage, including managing employee absences and on-call rosters. Promote a safe and clean work environment, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and policies. Inventory Management Manage weekly in-transit reports and stock reconciliations. Conduct cycle counts and stock takes as scheduled. Optimize stock turns and manage shelf life to prevent write-offs. Ensure timely processing of returns in SAP. Oversee inventory rotation and removal of expired items. Manage stock practices related to consignment, rotation, and expiration. Coordinate activities like re-packing and re-labeling according to specifications. Reporting Prepare and analyze reports on warehousing, distribution, and customer service metrics. Monitor inventory, E&O, and scrap levels. Track operational performance indicators such as DIFOT, LIFR, and utilization. Address customer service issues promptly. Problem Resolution Identify booking discrepancies and implement CAPA to mitigate risks. Investigate and reconcile stock discrepancies. Lead exception management for NDC and Loan areas. Logistics Manage domestic and international shipping, ensuring timely delivery and communication. Control freight costs within budget. Ensure procedures for instrument and implant delivery comply with policies and regulations. Lead team efforts in kitting, cleaning, and distributing loan sets. Continuously review and improve logistics and delivery processes to enhance customer experience. What will you need to be successful? Certificate in warehousing and distribution. Certificate IV in frontline management or relevant management qualifications (desirable). MBA or equivalent experience (essential). Proven experience in customer service and supply chain environments. Leadership experience with team motivation skills. Experience managing operational costs from a P&L perspective (desirable). Experience with loan set operations, consignment stock, and Kit/BOM setup. Experience working with contaminated materials. Exposure to Six Sigma methodologies.
