Commencing at $118,486 pa plus super or pro rataAbout the roleIn this role, you will be responsible for building strong client relationships to provide high-level strategic people advice and consultancy services. This includes a range of HR strategies and projects for the City, mainly related to change management, organisational design, leadership support and development, performance management, and a strong focus on industrial and workplace relations matters.You will need to demonstrate high levels of subject matter expertise, sound decision-making skills with minimal review, and proactively identify and analyse human capital needs. Under the guidance of the Manager, People and Employee Relations, you will develop solutions with People Centres of Excellence to meet business objectives.Work type: Temporary full-time or Part-Time (.08) (12 months)Classification: Band 8, commencing at $118,486 pa plus super or pro-rataKey responsibilities include:Partner with client groups and senior leaders to deliver the People agenda aligned with the Citys strategy.Lead, co-sponsor, and perform roles in organisation and divisional people projects.Contribute to drafting HR frameworks, tools, and solutions ensuring compliance.Build organisational leadership and capabilities at all levels.Provide specialist advice to Business Leaders, acting as a trusted people advisor.Sponsor People change initiatives, develop business cases, and mitigate risks.Drive and support a performance culture within client groups.Champion effective Workplace Relations, manage engagement, and resolve complex matters.About youTo be successful, you will have a degree in HR management or a relevant field with updated knowledge of employment legislation and best practices, or demonstrated experience. You should have high competency in strategic partnering, stakeholder management, employee and industrial relations, change management, and organisational design.Demonstrated knowledge and application of a Business Partnering model and framework.High-level case management and employee relations skills.Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders, including senior management.Ability to work independently and interpret complex, sometimes contradictory information to solve problems.This is a client-facing role requiring face-to-face work with clients.Preferred candidates will undergo a National Police Check, funded by the City.If interested, click apply now!Child Safety ResponsibilitiesWe are committed to being a child-safe organisation with zero tolerance for child abuse.
