Our business has recently revisited our values with purpose of globalising an iconic Australian brand.The Opportunity:We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Head of Supply Chain Finance to join the passionate SPC team.The Head of Supply Chain Finance will be responsible for overseeing the financial management of SPC Globals supply chain operations. Reporting directly to the Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the role will provide strategic financial leadership across the supply chain function, including procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and inventory management.The Head of Supply Chain Finance will lead a team of 3 direct reports and collaborate closely with various departments, including operations, procurement, logistics, and senior leadership. This role is pivotal in driving cost optimisation, improving financial performance, and delivering insights that support key supply chain decisions.Key Responsibilities:Strategic Leadership of Supply Chain FinanceFinancial Leadership: Lead the supply chain finance function, providing strategic financial insights and recommendations to support the optimisation of the supply chain and align with overall business goals.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a key business partner to the supply chain, operations, and procurement teams, ensuring financial strategies are aligned with operational goals and priorities.Decision Support: Provide financial analysis and support for critical decisions related to supply chain initiatives, including cost reduction, process improvements, capital investments, and new product launches.Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of 3 direct reports, fostering an environment of continuous learning, collaboration, and high performance.Cost Management: Drive initiatives to reduce supply chain costs through financial analysis, benchmarking, and cost modelling. Identify cost-saving opportunities and operational efficiencies while maintaining product quality and service levels.Inventory Management: Oversee inventory valuation and management, ensuring optimal stock levels and working capital efficiency. Ensure that inventory management practices are in line with financial goals.Supply Chain KPIs: Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure supply chain efficiency, cost control, and financial performance. Present insights and recommendations based on these metrics to senior leadership.Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) for Supply ChainForecasting & Budgeting: Lead the budgeting and forecasting process for supply chain-related costs, including direct materials, labour, logistics, and overheads. Ensure alignment with broader corporate financial planning cycles.Scenario Analysis: Conduct scenario planning to assess the financial impact of various supply chain strategies and decisions, including changes in procurement costs, logistics, and production processes.Financial Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely reporting of supply chain financial performance, including cost analysis, variance reporting, and commentary. Provide insights to senior management to support decision-making.Governance & Risk ManagementFinancial Controls: Establish and maintain strong financial controls within the supply chain function to ensure compliance with company policies and external regulations.Risk Mitigation: Identify and manage financial risks related to supply chain operations, including risks related to procurement, logistics, inventory, and vendor relationships.Supply Chain Procurement Oversight: Work closely with the procurement team to ensure cost-effective supplier relationships and contracts, as well as effective management of supplier payment terms.Business Process ImprovementContinuous Improvement: Lead efforts to continuously improve the financial aspects of supply chain processes, ensuring that systems, tools, and workflows are aligned with best practices and contribute to financial performance.Technology Integration: Support the integration of new technologies and systems that drive supply chain efficiency and transparency, including ERP systems, inventory management tools, and forecasting models.Strategic Projects & InitiativesSupply Chain Transformation: Play a key role in supporting supply chain transformation initiatives, including cost efficiency programs, technology upgrades, and strategic partnerships.M&A and Integration: Provide financial support for mergers, acquisitions, and integrations that impact supply chain operations, ensuring smooth transitions and financial synergies are realised.The successful candidate will have:A professional accounting qualification (CA/CPA) is required. An MBA or similar advanced qualification is highly desirable.At least 10 years of experience in finance, with a significant portion of that in supply chain finance, procurement or operations finance.Experience in a senior role within a manufacturing or FMCG company is highly desirable.Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), business intelligence tools, and other financial management software.Strong Excel skills and data analysis capabilities are required.Financial Acumen: Strong financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting skills, with experience in managing and controlling supply chain costs.Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams. Strong interpersonal skills to influence and collaborate effectively with senior management and cross-functional teams.Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically, leveraging financial insights to drive supply chain decisions that align with broader business objectives.Systems & Tools Knowledge: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), business intelligence tools, and other financial management software.
