Come and join our supportive and progressive team as we deliver on our vision:Noosa Shire different by natureThe OpportunityThis position will provide critical technical and operational support to the Principle Infrastructure Planner and broader infrastructure planning team by contributing to the pre-execution planning of capital works projects in Councils future Capital Works programs. Support the preparation and submission of robust and researched project initiations for consideration in the capital works program, that consider design and construction requirements for the delivery of a broad range of Council and community infrastructure projects.Vacancy DetailsPosition Status: Temporary Full Time (until 30 June 2028)Department: Infrastructure ServicesBranch: Infrastructure Planning Design & DeliveryAdvertised: Internal and ExternalPosition Remuneration: Level 5.1 ($90,851 Base annual salary) / ($103,123 Total remuneration package which is based on a permanent full-time employee and inclusive of 12% employer superannuation and 17.5% leave loading).Closing Date: 11:59pm (AEST) Sunday, 1 June 2025About YouTo undertake this position, you will have thorough understanding of project scoping including programming and budget estimation, risk assessments and feasibility.You will have knowledge, or ability to quickly acquire, State and Federal environmental legislation, Noosa Planning Scheme and Policies, including strategic infrastructure issues, and a broad understanding of the drivers of project development within the region.The position''s focus will be:Assist in gathering, analysing, and preparing foundational project materials, data, and inputs that align with strategic Council priorities, policies, and legislation.Support the preparation of projects initiations, project management plans and the planning phase of Councils 3-year Capital Works program.Analyse projects within the 3, 5- and 10-year capital works program to validate and improve.Project for scope, program, budget, resourcing and constructability,Alignment with Noosa Council and State Government Planning Regulations and Policies (including LGIP), andProject risk analysis.Identify community consultation and engagement requirements during the planning phase of projects to ensure projects are sensitive to the local Place context and meet corporate values.Early identification of stakeholders internal and external, coordination of these resources, Councillors and community steering groups.Support/ guide initiators to research, investigate, and document impacts to the surrounding environment including social, environmental, cultural and economic issues as well as the functional constraints and opportunities.Support the preparation of quality infrastructure planning processes including project initiation documents, project selection processes and infrastructure planning reports.Liaise with Government agencies and Council clients to ensure that projects are planned, coordinated and implemented in accordance with statutory obligations and Council objectives.Foster an organisational culture which promotes teamwork, personal accountability and encourages continuous improvement:Create a culture where our staff regularly go above and beyond what is required and are able to make decisions quickly to meet customer needs.Exhibit personal behaviours that support the desired Council culture including innovation, sustainability and working in partnership with our community.Such other relevant duties as required from time to time which would generally fall within the scope of this position.Further QuestionsPlease contact Melissa (Mel) Shepherd, Principal Infrastructure Planner on (07) 5329 6498 for any further information regarding the position. #J-18808-Ljbffr
