About The Role We are seeking a Senior Analyst Analytics and Insights to join our Finance Business Partnering (FBP) team within Iron Ore. This is a newly created role focused on applying advanced analytics to solve business problems and generate insights to drive financial performance and efficiency. Responsibilities Partner with Finance Business Partners and subject matter experts to define business challenges, shape analytical approaches, and deliver actionable insights. Manage the full analytics lifecycle from problem scoping and data sourcing to development, embedding, and impact measurement of solutions. Develop scalable, user-friendly tools and dashboards with stakeholders to enhance visibility of performance drivers and support self-service insights. Utilize advanced analytics techniques (e.g., SQL, Python, Power BI) to identify opportunities in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in data science or analytics, with a proven track record of delivering solutions in operational or commercial contexts. Experience managing end-to-end projects, from problem definition and data acquisition to deployment and performance tracking. Proficiency in SQL, Power BI, Python, VS Code, and MS Excel; capable of presenting insights effectively in MS PowerPoint. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills to influence decision-making and build trust. Impact-driven mindset with a passion for simplifying complexity and enhancing business performance through data. Background in Finance, Engineering, or related field, with postgraduate qualification in Data Science. Experience with SAP data and SAP Analytics Cloud is desirable.
