This key role will report to the Program Engineering Manager, will be offered on a permanent full time basis and can be situated either at Edinburgh, Adelaide or Melbourne CBD locations.We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, including working a 9-day fortnight and hybrid working.You will be an integral member within our Wide Area Surveillance and Communications team where we maintain an existing fleet of developed radar products as well as developing the future catalogue of radar products for the export market.Key Responsibilities IncludeLead the delivery of product security engineering activities including product security processes, tools and technologyProvide leadership to a small team and provide guidance to project teams, coaching personnel on product security engineeringEstablish the product security scope of work for project bids, and oversee the execution of the product security engineering tasksLead the sustainment and the evolution of product security engineering scopes of work, ensuring it remains fit for purposeProvide product security engineering technical advice to the project team, collaborate effectively and build good relationships with internal and external stakeholdersDevelop product security engineering risk assessments and maintain the assessmentsSeek and share good practice and knowledge to continuously improve product security engineering practicesAbout YOUExtensive product security engineering experience and knowledgeA relevant tertiary level engineering or IT degreeDefence industry experienceGood communication skills, self-starter, the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team environment with a broad range of stakeholdersA current Australian Defence Security clearanceWhilst not essential, previous people leadership experience will be highly regardedWe believe in hiring for potential, we know that some candidates hesitate if they dont tick all the boxes.
