Reporting to the Geelong Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating site operations at the Geelong facility to ensure full compliance with the company''s Safety Management System, while also meeting Customer Product Requirements and aligning with the company''s Strategic Plan.The position entails the following responsibilities:Play a key role in integrating the culture of the site under the Quantem way. Ultimately accountable for the tone and culture at Geelong.Ensure works on site are completed in line with procedures outlined in the Safety Management System including Safe Work Permits, Confined Space Entry Permits and safety & environmental issues raised in Work Instructions.Undertake Daily pre-start meetings, weekly toolbox meetings and Safety Meetings to ensure effective communications to the Operations team.Coordinate and participate in all internal and external audits. Full responsibility for actioning any audit findings.Supervise the team to complete day to day terminal activities, in full compliance with the company''s Safety Management System.Undertake performance reviews and conduct expectations, provision of effective feedback, provision of appropriate training and development programs.Contribute to the execution and maintenance of Enterprise Agreements.Coordinate the execution of all terminal activities including but not limited to, shipping, road transport, water release, discharge plans, Jet A-1 release and sampling which may include providing support/coverage to the team from time to time.To be considered for the position, you are required to have the following experience and qualifications:10 years of experience working in a heavy industrial environment with proven success in the development and execution of business improvement programs and a successful track-record of challenging the normSupervision and operating a lean operational structure with a strong safety focusDemonstrated technical understanding of highly engineered product and the transport of dangerous goods.Extensive people and organisational leadership of a large workforceTrade qualification in a technical field is desirableCompetent use of Microsoft Office suite is requiredWHAT''S IN IT FOR YOUJoin Quantem for a rewarding career, where our Vision, Purpose, and Values guide us to strive to be an employer of choice in the bulk liquid storage industry.
