Role Description This is a full-time hybrid role for a Technical Data Analyst at Hastha Solutions in Melbourne, VIC. The Technical Data Analyst will be responsible for analyzing data, implementing data models, and communicating insights. Some work from home is acceptable in this role. Your Responsibilities Having 5+ years of experience in Data Modeling and AWS Documenting technical specifications and integration patterns required for the Data Platform (AWS Tech Stack) across downstream and upstream environments. Designing and implementing data solutions on AWS to support business objectives. Collaborating with data engineers, analysts, and business teams to optimize cloud-based data pipelines, building reports, and conducting technical data analysis using SQL. Assessing Business Requirements and Technical documents to determine the build work required. Assisting with documentation of User Stories. Implementing system configuration, e.g., COTS system changes to meet Business and Technical requirements. Conducting process flow analysis, creating data models, and documenting configurations. Performing deep analysis on structured and unstructured datasets to extract insights. Assisting in data migration projects from on-premise or legacy systems to AWS. Developing dashboards, reports, and analytics using AWS-native tools. Collaborating with development teams to automate processes and improve data accessibility. Participating in cross-functional teams to plan, configure, test, and document new and existing system features to deliver end-to-end solutions. Analyzing interface requirements and documenting interface mappings. Conducting impact analysis on system implementations and design options, making recommendations and managing risks. Ensuring solution integrity by adhering to system architectures, standards, quality, and security. Contributing to organizational policies, standards, and guidelines for test environment management. Engaging with non-technical stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure solutions meet expectations. Minimum Experience and Qualifications Proven experience in technical business analysis across all lifecycle stages, with a solid understanding of best practices and design patterns. Experience working in low-code/configuration environments (e.g., COTS systems) within a SDLC. Strong proficiency in AWS data technologies: Amazon Redshift, AWS Glue, Amazon S3, AWS Athena, AWS Lake Formation, AWS QuickSight. Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases. Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance in cloud environments. Exposure to machine learning pipelines using AWS SageMaker is a plus. Strong analytical skills and experience interpreting complex datasets. Ability to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions. Familiarity with API and event-driven architectures. Experience with Agile methodologies and software product implementation. Experience with relational databases (SQL Server) and capital markets data products/models. Experience working with Java applications, microservices, and data streaming capabilities. Detail-oriented with the ability to quickly learn new concepts and technologies. Experience with unit/integration and non-functional testing. Nice to Have Experience in the Capital Markets Industry and understanding of product and transaction lifecycles. Problem-solving, troubleshooting, and environment issue resolution skills. Excellent communication skills for working with stakeholders. AWS Certified Data Analytics Specialty or Solutions Architect certification. Knowledge of big data frameworks like Apache Spark or Hadoop on AWS. Experience with streaming data solutions like AWS Kinesis or Kafka on AWS. Innovative thinking for automation and process improvement. Quick learner, self-motivated, and empathetic. Ownership mindset and commitment to maintainable code and thorough testing.
