ResponsibilitiesOur Counsellors provide therapeutic interventions to assist clients who have experienced trauma from domestic violence and/or sexual assault to focus on wellbeing, risk assessment and safety planning. We take a whole service approach in ensuring that all individuals feel valued, supported, and respected in their journey towards safety and healing.QualificationsHold a tertiary qualification or higher in Psychology, Counselling, Social Work or other relevant discipline.Experience in providing trauma informed counselling to support individuals affected by domestic violence and/or sexual assaultStrong understanding of the impacts of domestic violence and a commitment to supporting clients in a respectful and empowering manner.Ability to develop a sense of safety and strong rapport with clientsWell-developed personal and professional boundaries, resilience and compliance with privacy and confidentialityStrong understanding and experience working with Aboriginal peoples and those from culturally and linguistically diverse communitiesA non-judgmental, empathetic approach with a passion for making a positive difference in the lives of others. #J-18808-Ljbffr
