Your drive and positive mindset will be welcomed, coupled with your experience in financial accounting and ability to interpret and implement accounting standards.As a Financial Accountant in our Financial Controller Department youll make an impact by providing accounting services and support for the consolidated entity of Bendigo and Adelaide Bank along with several of its subsidiaries and related entities.Key responsibilities include:maintenance and recording of data within accounting systems.establishment and documentation of accounting and record keeping processes.completion of monthly reconciliation processes.preparation of monthly and annual Financial Statements, including relevant Board Reports.Were seeking people who will also show:Development of continuous improvement aimed at reducing operational risk.Development and maintenance of relationships with key stakeholders.This is a permanent full-time position. We offer flexible work options that put our people first, and a hybrid model of minimum two days per week based out of our Bendigo , Melbourne, Adelaide, or Sydney corporate office.What youll bring to the roleTo succeed in this role, wed love you to have:Tertiary qualifications in Finance or BusinessMinimum of 3 years experience in a similar roleStrong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and applying them accuratelyStrong knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft applicationsTake initiative, demonstrate motivation and driveContinuous improvement mindset with ability to consider riskWhile not essential, it would be great if you had:Membership of a professional accounting body (CA/CPA)So, why work for us?Want to be more than just a number?
