Are you a natural connector who loves turning ideas into action?We are seeking a dynamic, organised, and people-focused individual to lead our Regional Enablers Program and energise The Generator coworking space in Bundaberg. This is your chance to help grow the local innovation ecosystem and support the next wave of regional entrepreneurs. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering the Regional Enablers Program so a love of business startups and innovation is essential. You will organise innovation focussed events, lead delegations to tropical locations and help launch innovation-driven enterprises. You will also be responsible for building the startup community around the Generator.The Generator Bundaberg Coworking Space and Innovation Hub (The Generator) is a vibrant and collaborative environment for entrepreneurs, start-ups, freelance creatives, and remote workers. Owned and operated by Regional Business HQ since January 2019, The Generator is the go-to space for local entrepreneurs to gather, work, and support one another in growing their businesses and driving innovation within the Bundaberg community.Our community at the Generator includes a variety of individuals including:Those looking for a refreshing change from their home office.Travelling professionals in search of a reliable home base during their stay in town.Entrepreneurs who like the company of like-minded people but also value the autonomy of their own workspace.Business owners seeking time away from the distractions at their usual premises.Enthusiastic people who simply love the atmosphere at The Generator!In this role, you will be responsible for delivering the GROW Bundaberg, our Regional Enablers Program, which includes:Planning and running workshops, webinars, and innovation events (i.e. awards, showcases and hackathons).Leading delegations to key innovation conferencesBuilding partnerships with local stakeholders.You will also manage The Generator coworking space and drive its evolution into a vibrant innovation hub by:Supporting members and improving daily operations.Designing and delivering startup accelerators, incubators, and community-led initiatives.Helping create a space where ideas, startups and entrepreneurs thrive.Ideally, We Are Looking For Someone Who IsA capable project manager can juggle deadlines, stakeholders, and events with ease.A creative community builder you love connecting people and sparking collaboration.Confident running events and programs, with bonus points for startup or innovation experience.A natural self-starter who thrives in a flexible, semi-autonomous role.Comfortable with a bit of chaos and excited by the opportunity to shape something big in a regional contextA natural collaborator who enjoys contributing as part of a broader teamWho are you?RoleWe need someone who is not just a manager but a community builder. You will likely enjoy this role if you are comfortable with all of the following:Love working autonomously while delivering a government funded program.Being the go-to person for any questions in your current role. You can engage with people from all walks of life and make them feel at home AND you enjoy doing so for the majority of your work day.Keeping facilities in your work area spic and span and in excellent condition for any visitors or staff to enjoy (this occasionally means replenishing stock levels in the shared kitchen facilities including milk, tea, coffee etc.)Being able to see connections between people before they can and doing everything in your power to ensure those connections happen.You know how to throw a great event that brings people together and fosters collaboration and you enjoy organising and running events from start to finish no matter how small or large the event.Being in the spotlight, being that familiar face at events and meetings both internally and externally and being known for talking up and sharing your opinions and for your ability to re-energise from being with people (this role will not be your jam if you are left exhausted after social or networking events and need to hibernate away from people to regain your energy and zest for life).Creating innovative and new way of marketing products and services across multiple platforms as well as creating compelling content for social media and our website to keep our community informed and excited.Youre comfortable using Microsoft 365 and other digital tools to manage our community and events.Youre excited about the startup world and eager to support local entrepreneurs in their journey.We''re keen to hear from you!
