NT Health - Endorsed Enrolled Nurse (Nurse Level 1) - Darwin/Palmerston, Katherine, Alice Springs, Tennant Creek, Nhulunbuy (Full-time/Part-time/Casual) Nursing and midwifery in the Northern Territory offers unique and exciting challenges for Endorsed Enrolled Nurses (EN) with a minimum of 12 months experience post-qualification across multiple clinical areas. The roles offer adaptable models of care and flexible workplace arrangements. Key duties and responsibilities: Work within the scope and practice of an endorsed enrolled nurse under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN). Utilise best practice clinical standards to provide optimal care to patients. Seek support and advice from the RN regarding performance expectations, client management, and policy application. Act as an effective member of the multidisciplinary team. Deliver care and administer medication within the legal boundaries of enrolled nurse practice. Follow service quality standards and WHS policies to ensure safe, high-quality services and workplaces. Foster a positive workplace culture by role modelling appropriate behaviour. Be adaptable to shift work and redeployment to other clinical areas as needed. Selection criteria: Essential Current registration as an Endorsed Enrolled Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia. Completion of an approved NMBA course in medication administration and intravenous therapy. Ability to coordinate client care under supervision, leading to positive clinical outcomes. Effective written and verbal communication skills to contribute within the multidisciplinary team. Understanding of social and cultural challenges faced by vulnerable groups and the nurse''s role in supporting them. Knowledge and application of Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) principles in healthcare.
