Job description:$133,944.00 per annum + superannuationFull time, fixed term until 16/01/2026Geelong based role (hybrid work from home 3 days in office)About the roleThe Claims and Recovery Support division (CaRS) has been created within WorkSafe to focus on supporting the recovery and return to work of injured workers. CaRS is transforming how support and services are delivered to injured workers to improve the outcomes they achieve, and help shape the future Recovery Service Model for the Victorian Workers Compensation scheme.The Senior Performance and Insights Analyst is a member of the Performance and Insights team within CaRS. This role is responsible for the provision of quantitative analysis, advice and reporting on performance trends, identifying emerging risk and opportunities relating to recovery, treatment, return to work, weekly payments and other claims management functions, as well getting involved in projects and initiatives to improve injured worker outcomes.You will enjoy working within a supportive and collaborative team culture that has a real sense of purpose.Key accountabilities Taking a leadership role in the production of regular insights from conducting statistical analyses. Providing subject matter expertise on the distillation of complex analytics and insights in an easy to understand manner for executive stakeholders. Provide guidance, and advice to other analysts to ensure our analytical models and subsequent insights meet our agreed standards. Taking a leadership role in analytics projects and initiatives including responsibility for delivering key components. Lead the development and provision of analytical services including working with stakeholders in other business units to articulate business problems into technical requirements and/or specifications and data driven insights and recommendations. Delivering guidance and advice that allows others to conduct performance measurement and program evaluation and leading responses to ad hoc requests for statistical analyses and insights Embedding our statistical software tools and evolving their use within the team Ensure that analytical models and outputs meet agreed standards by ensuring appropriate documentation & undertaking peer reviewPlease ensure you review the Position Description via the WorkSafe Victoria careers site for additional information on accountabilities for this role.About youYou are an experienced Analyst with the ability to problem solve, undertake effective research and analysis and produce complex statistical models. Your strong communication and interpersonal skills provides you with the ability to build trusted relationships and summarise complex technical concepts for a non-technical audience.
