About The Role We are currently recruiting a Zone Substation Senior Electrical Technician to join our Transmission Central West team based in Dubbo or Narrabri. The Zone Substation Senior Electrical Technician is responsible for construction and maintenance of Zone Substations, inspecting, testing, and reporting on the nature and condition of network assets, and the installation, commissioning, and testing of associated Zone Substation and distribution equipment. Key responsibilities Construction and Maintenance of Zone Substations Installation, commissioning and testing of associated Zone Substation and distribution equipment Carrying out switching operations associated with both high and low voltage Engineering Services Inspecting, testing, and reporting on the nature and condition of Network assets to maintain quality standards Accessing and using computerised systems to operate remote equipment Be available and participate in standby and after-hours duties Operating plant and equipment associated with Zone Substations safely About You You will be an experienced Zone Substation Electrician with practical application of your qualifications. You will have experience in promoting Occupational Health and Safety, environmental needs, quality standards, and technical practice in the role. Willingness to travel and work away is required.
