Our IT division is headed by an experienced IT project manager, so when you work with us, you will be working with someone who understands your requirements based on real-world experience.12-month contract$80/hr + SuperFully remoteStart ASAPAbout the role:The Content and Assessment Writer is responsible for ensuring that learning and assessment resources developed align with the qualification, unit requirements, legislative and industry standards for the MEM (engineering) and UEE (electrotechnology) courses. Experience working in a VET environment is preferred, but candidates with experience as a technical writer in engineering (MEM) or electrotechnology fields will also be considered.Responsibilities:Design, develop, and update assessment tools to meet the assessment requirements of the relevant Training Package or VET accredited qualification, Principles of Assessment, Rules of Evidence, and TAFE Queenslands training and assessment processes.Produce assessment mapping and other ancillary documents and resources as required.Participate in validation of assessment tools prior to use.Develop, review, and update learning resources that are well-structured, accurate, and styled to meet approved guidelines and learning resource design principles.Modify resources based on Quality Assurance/Validation/Vocational specialist feedback promptly and positively.Collaborate with Product Lead / Product Coordinator to establish objectives, requirements, milestones, and responsibilities.Contribute to a team-based, collaborative, and outcome-focused culture, responding promptly to feedback and changes.Promote an ethical and safe work environment supporting health, safety, wellness, and sustainability.Experience:Good knowledge of the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF), Standards for Training Packages, Standards for RTOs 2015, and the ability to interpret training packages and VET qualification units.Ability to develop valid and reliable assessment tools and related documentation, understanding training package components and requirements.Experience in developing learning resources that meet educational needs and reflect current industry practices.Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with team members, stakeholders, and clients through collaboration and responsiveness.Proven ability to organize and produce quality work outcomes, meet deadlines, and work autonomously within a team focusing on quality processes.Desirable Experience:Experience in Engineering or Electrotechnology.Qualifications aligned with the specific role requirements in the Training Package Areas.TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or equivalent qualifications like TAE40110, TAELLN411/TAELLN401A, TAEASS502/TAEASS502A/TAEASS502B, TAE50111/TAE50116 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training, TAE50211/TAE50216 Diploma of Training Design and Development.Higher-level qualification in adult education.Vocational competency to deliver and assess the relevant training.Experience in developing learning and assessment resources and delivering outcomes on time and to a high standard.Thank you for your interest.
