Were looking for a Display Coordinator to help shape, build, and present world-class exhibitions at MAGNT and to help prepare for the opening of the Northern Territory Art Gallery!This is afull-time, fixed contract commencing from 11 August 2025 through to 20 February 2026 and isbased inDarwin, offering apro rata salary of $90,000 p.a. plus 11.5% super.As the Display Coordinator, youll be a key player in our Exhibitions Team, working on a dynamic mix of in-house and incoming touring exhibition programs. Selection Criteria 1: Trade Certificate in Carpentry and Joinery or equivalent in a relevant discipline or at least three years equivalent experience. Selection Criteria 2: Experience in designing and fabricating supports and mounts for with a high level and wide range of manual skills including workshop familiarity, painting, woodwork/carpentry, metalwork and/or plastics technology. Selection Criteria 3: Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment, with strong organisational skills, able to self-manage workloads across concurrent projects and able to prioritise and complete tasks within scheduled timeframes. Selection Criteria 4: Proven well developed ability to communicate and negotiate effectively across a broad range of stakeholders including internal staff and contractors. Selection Criteria 5: Sound computer skills with an understanding of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to read and interpret plans and working drawings and to cost construction work. Selection Criteria 6: A sound understanding and knowledge of Work Health Safety (WHS) practises to ensure WHS system compliance. Desirable Criteria 1: Understanding of the museum or art gallery environment with experience in construction and creative fabrication of 3D displays. Desirable Criteria 2: At least three years experience in the commercial industrial building trade. Desirable Criteria 3: A license to operate a forklift. Desirable Criteria 4: Trade certificate in Engineering Fabrication or experience in welding.
