This role ensures the provision of high-quality, nutritious meals that meet dietary and nutritional standards, while maintaining compliance with WHS requirements and delivering exceptional service to the College community. The Operations Manager leads the planning and delivery of catering for all College events, from small in-house functions to large-scale events of up to 350 guests, College Boarding House and College Canteen. This role also oversees operational efficiency, staff management, budget accountability, and compliance.Access to our Employee Assistance Program through THRIVE PsychologySalary: Level 4$85,000 per year - Averaged (term-time only)Experience in managing the day to day running of large, successful food services, including safe handling of food, appropriate food preparation knowledge and experience, ordering supplies, balancing budget, invoice processing and managing staffingExperience in preparing menus, meals and snacks that are based on customer feedback and preferences in accordance with food safety standards and quality controlsExperience in resolving customer complaints regarding food quality, customer service or other issuesProven ability to lead teams, manage rosters, and resolve workplace issuesExperience with budgeting, ordering, and cost control in a food service environmentAbility to set KP l''s in regards to food servicesA proven high level of interpersonal and verbal communication skillsExcellent organisation and time management skills and experience to adequately organise and run the canteen, Boarding House Dining Room and hospitality eventsFlexibility to work outside of regular hours during major eventsDiploma/ Certificate Ill in Commercial Cookery or Hospitality Management incl.
