Purchasing Officer (12 Month Fixed Term) Location: Ravensworth Operations, Hunter Valley, NSW Ravensworth Operations includes the Ravensworth Open Cut and the Coal Handling Preparation Plant, supplying high-quality coal for export. The operation has approval to mine over 14Mtpa with a long mine life. Reporting to the Supply Superintendent, you will: Ensure procurement activities comply with Glencore policies. Source goods and services to optimize cost and availability. Process purchase orders promptly and maintain accurate pricing records. Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers. Identify continuous improvement opportunities to enhance supply outcomes. About You To succeed, you will have: Strong business acumen. A high commitment to safety. Extensive knowledge of purchasing practices. Experience balancing operational and commercial needs in a mining environment. Experience with SAP Materials Management (desirable). The ideal candidate is proactive in identifying business opportunities, prioritizes safety, and adheres to all safety and legislative policies.
