As a Consultant Social Development, youll play a key role in delivering social and economic impact assessments, stakeholder engagement, and strategic planning to support major infrastructure and development projects in metropolitan and regional areas. Youll collaborate with a passionate and multidisciplinary team, contribute to thought leadership, and engage directly with communities to help drive long-term resilience and meaningful change. If youre a strong communicator with a passion for people, places, and social equity, this role offers a chance to make a real impact.Key Responsibilities:Contribute to the preparation of social and economic impact assessments through research, data analysis, and stakeholder engagement.Assist in developing and implementing strategies to manage social impacts of major infrastructure and regional development projects.Engage with community groups and stakeholders to discuss project impacts, benefit-sharing, and opportunities.Draft high-quality reports, plans, and materials that communicate social assessment findings and recommendations.Support the facilitation of workshops, interviews, surveys, and focus groups as part of targeted social research.Conduct analysis and contribute to the development of strategic plans addressing complex social issues.Collaborate on tender responses and create marketing content relevant to social development services.Maintain strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders to support successful project delivery.Assist senior team members with project coordination, ensuring deliverables meet timelines and budgets.Contribute to thought leadership initiatives that advance best practices in social impact assessment and planning.Desired Skills and ExperienceWhat we are looking for:Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline such as social science, social planning, or economics.Strong research, analytical, and communication skills with attention to detail.Experience engaging with communities, government and other stakeholders (highly desirable).Understanding of social impact assessment processes and stakeholder engagement best practices.Familiarity with state and territory guidelines for social impact assessment and community consultation.Knowledge of the renewable energy, resources sectors and/or major infrastructure projects is beneficial but not essential.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and proactively manage issues.Demonstrated integrity, honesty, and a commitment to authentic engagement with stakeholders.Comfortable managing multiple tasks and contributing to project delivery within time and budget constraints.Enthusiasm for making a positive social impact through evidence-based planning and community-focused work.At NGH, we take immense pride in contributing to Australia''s major infrastructure projects and leading the way in the growing renewable energy sector.
