Mungabareena Aboriginal Corporation is seeking a dedicated Aboriginal Family Led Decision Maker to implement a culturally appropriate model of decision making with children, young people, and their families who are clients of the Department of Health and Human Services Child protection service. This identified position is open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants and offers the opportunity to contribute to the strength and self-determination of the local Aboriginal community. In this key role, you will: Liaise with and plan for referred clients to participate in a family-led decision-making process. Monitor and evaluate program delivery. Engage families in cultural awareness and refer clients to appropriate services. Develop collaborative working relationships with service providers and promote reconciliation practices. Support the development of cultural support plans for Aboriginal children and young people.
