This role is primarily responsible for the implementation and management of the strategic direction outlined by the Senior Leadership Team and the overall management of our Customer Sales team to deliver premium customer service and sound financial results.Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:Overall management of the International Sales team including 3 direct reportsOverseeing staff performance, development and coaching.Lead enquiry management and ensuring enquiry quality is analysedManaging and assisting as backup of the Air Concierge departmentOverseeing annual leave and roster management.Overseeing educational and training plans and outcomes.Working with the Team Leader of operations to ensure compliance on systems and processes.Weekly and ad-hoc sales reporting with detailed analysis, providing and supporting recommendations and actions.Weekly review of pipeline management, booking margins, exceptions and cancellations.Analysis on booking and margin movements, assisting with revenue forecasting.Setting of monthly targets and reconciliation of results.Recruitment and onboarding of new staff in conjunction with the Director.Liaise with Marketing and Sales on general sales and tactical initiatives.Required knowledge and experience:Must have extensive experience in a leadership role in travel, preferably in a Contact Centre / Reservations role with multiple direct reports. Experience within the Travel Industry highly regarded.Experience in a fast-paced environment with high volume workloadExceptional people management & leadership skills are essential.Aptitude in call centre technology (eg. 8x8) is beneficial.Experience using a Global Distribution System (GDS) preferably Sabre or Amadeus.Ability to coach and mentor staff, lead and motivate a team, be a champion of changeProblem solving mindset with ability to think outside the boxExceptional organisational skillsHigh degree of attention to detail, with an aptitude for data analyticsExcellent communications skills both written & verbalTeam player and ability to work across all departments (product, marketing, sales, finance).Willingness to take on challenges and be proactiveStrong time management skills are essential.Ability to work autonomouslyWhy work for A&K Travel Group?Our valued team of travel professionals across Australia and New Zealand each share a passion for making travel dreams a reality.
