About The Role As a Support Specialist, you will deliver expert advice and tailored support to children, young people, families, foster and kinship carers, and staff. Your role is crucial in providing high-quality, culturally inclusive services, from assessing needs and planning to facilitating educational programs and collaborating with stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Include Developing and evaluating educational and therapeutic programs; Providing direct support, case management, and after-hours assistance; Collaborating with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and communities to ensure culturally safe and sustainable outcomes; Guiding and training staff to improve professional development and service delivery; Building strong networks with community partners and stakeholders. What Were Looking For Essential Qualifications & Skills: Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Social Sciences, or related discipline, or 5+ years of equivalent experience; Knowledge of child protection and trauma frameworks; Experience in assessment, planning, and supporting children and families with complex needs; Experience in culturally inclusive practices with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities; Current drivers license and ability to obtain a National Police Certificate, Working with Children (Blue Card), Child Safety, and Personal History Screening Check (LCS). Desirable Understanding of the Domestic and Family Violence Protection Act 2012; Experience in service quality improvement.
