We provide vital workplace support for people working in some of the most isolated terrains in the world, from oil rigs in the North Sea to gold mines in the Australian Outback.The Position - ChefWork collaboratively with a team of Chefs, Kitchen Utilities, and Dining Room employeesBuffet style bulk cooking for Breakfast and Crib Lunch, or Dinner and DessertsEnsure OH&S compliance, adhering to safe work practices and food handling proceduresEnsure all catering controls are in place, and wastage is kept to the minimumMaintain high standards of food hygiene, safety, infection control, and cleanliness in accordance with Compass standardsAssist Head Chefs in managing team performance and employee developmentThe PersonChef Qualifications - Cert III in Commercial Cookery (min)Bulk Catering ExperienceExcellent knowledge of all kitchen procedures and operations, including menu writing, rostering, and cost controlExperience with hygienic work practices and HACCP guidelinesMust have valid First Aid / CPRThe Benefits7 / 7 Roster, including 5 weeks annual leave per annum.
