We strive to improve the health and wellbeing of rural communities and believe in creating opportunities so all Victorians can access essential primary health care services.About the ProgramMobile Patient Care (MPC) offers Non-Emergency Patient Transport across Victoria and parts of New South Wales. We operate a large fleet of ambulances supported by RFDS aircraft. MPC provides clinical care for patients traveling from home to hospital, between hospitals, and to and from specialist clinics.About the RoleAs an Ambulance Transport Attendant (ATA), you will deliver high-quality, dignified, and patient-focused care, ensuring the efficient and effective transport of non-emergency pre- and post-hospital patients. Your role is crucial in maintaining the comfort and respect of each patient throughout their journey.Key responsibilities include:Perform patient assessment and intervention on-roadProvide high-quality patient care and treatment during transportDevelop and maintain positive relationships with patients and stakeholdersWork independently and problem-solve within established policies and proceduresCollaborate effectively with team membersTo be successful, you will need:A Diploma of Paramedical Science (Ambulance), Bachelor of Health Science (Paramedic), Bachelor of Nursing (with AHPRA registration), or equivalent qualification recognized by RFDS or DHHSFor Diploma qualified applicants: evidence of clinical placements, a Clinical Skills Assessment, and at least 400 hours of supervised operational experienceAvailability to work 10- and 12-hour shifts across 7 daysAbility to drive in city and rural traffic conditionsCompassion, professionalism, and dedication to serviceExperience in the NEPT sector is desirable but not essentialSatisfactory safety screening including a current Full Driver''s Licence, driver history report, Working with Children''s Check, Police Check, and right to work in AustraliaOur BenefitsRecognition of prior ATA service for fair compensation2:1 staff to patient ratioSet shift timesPenalties and allowancesLess stressful environment than emergency careOpportunities to work at various locations across the stateOptions to work with high acuity, complex patient care, and aeromedical teamsEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Salary packaging optionsEnhanced parental leave benefitsNeed more information?For inquiries, please email us.
