About The RoleThe Manager Compliance will be part of the Institutional Operational Risk and Compliance team, focusing solely on the compliance of the global Markets business. The role involves building strong relationships with senior stakeholders, enablement teams, risk partners, and regulators. You will ensure effective processes to identify and manage compliance and regulatory risks, providing high-quality advisory support and insightful reporting through critical problem solving and analytical capabilities.Role Location: SydneyRole Type: Permanent Key Responsibilities Risk Management: Minimize losses/penalties from compliance risks within Global Markets. Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain relationships to promote proactive risk management; review and challenge risk activities; provide independent insights; participate in governance forums; support regulatory submissions and responses. Process Oversight: Ensure compliance with ANZ frameworks; monitor risk profiles and events; identify process improvement opportunities; lead deep dive reviews for risk insights. Culture and Behaviours: Foster a positive compliance culture; promote diversity, curiosity, and continuous improvement; ensure adherence to values and legal obligations. Qualifications & Skills Tertiary qualification with experience in operational risk and/or compliance. Strong relationship-building and communication skills. Analytical and problem-solving skills; data analysis experience is desirable. Knowledge of institutional business activities, e.g., financial crime, sustainable finance. Why Join Us?
