The team includes Specialists, Scientists, and technicians. The service utilises a range of genomic testing technologies to identify driver mutations in solid tumours. The Scientist should be experienced in FFPE DNA testing. Additional duties include participation in other laboratory-based initiatives to promote precision medicine within Sydney Local Health District.Applicants for this position must have a thorough and practical understanding of DNA genomic testing, excellent communication skills and demonstrated leadership in laboratory science. They should be able to work individually as well as part of a team. An understanding of working in a NATA accredited medical testing environment would be desirable. The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering laboratory activities that comply with operational procedures, quality standards and continual process improvement.
