Team Leader, Liquor and Gaming LicensingAdd expected salary to your profile for insightsClassification: ASO6Salary Range: $98,478 - $104,165 + superannuationDuration: Up to 12 monthsVacancy Type: Full TimeNumber of Positions Available: 1Closing Date: 11:30pm Tuesday 10 June 2025About the OpportunityAn exciting opportunity exists for an experienced people manager with a background in public policy or law to join Consumer and Business Services (CBS) as Team Leader, Liquor and Gaming Licensing.Reporting to the Manager, Liquor and Gaming, this role leads a team of customer service officers within the Licensing Branch and is accountable for meeting team performance targets. The role involves complex, technical, and sensitive operational work, as well as policy implementation and performance enforcement that impacts customers, stakeholders, and the department.The Team Leader supports the administration of South Australia''s liquor and gaming legislation and acts as a Hearings Delegate in assessing applications for voluntary and involuntary barring of individuals.Role highlights: Strategic engagement with industry, private sector, and all levels of government Decision-making on complex liquor and gaming applications Direct interaction with South Australias liquor and gaming licensees Implementation of legislative reform and influence on future directions Leadership of a medium-sized team with a focus on continuous improvementFor more information on the requirements of this role, please refer to the attached Job and Person Specification.The ideal candidate for this role will have: Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to guide and develop a high performing team Excellent inter-personal, verbal and written communication skills to provide succinct and helpful advice to key stakeholders A track record of driving business excellence and system improvements Experience working within a regulatory environment.If you meet some of the criteria, we still encourage you to apply.About the BusinessThe Attorney-Generals Department (AGD) provides a range of legal, regulatory and other services for the government and people of South Australia.
