About the role We are looking for a Specialist Planner Long Term Planning to join our diverse and collaborative Maintenance Planning and Engineering team based in Perth Operations Centre. This is a great opportunity to be part of a high-performing team, with the opportunity to deliver accurate budgets and forecasts aligned to asset lifecycle strategies and business plans for the specified Asset Class. Reporting to the MP&E Superintendent Asset Planning and working in a collaborative team environment, you will: Utilize developed asset strategies and compile existing primary and secondary condition-based maintenance requirements for assets based on defined tactics. Create long-term maintenance forecasts for each asset lifecycle strategy by aligning major tasks with scheduled loss periods (MSF). Identify maintenance strategy inefficiencies and manage changes via RCM-based tactical improvements supported by Asset/Reliability Engineers and SMEs. Develop material forecasts for the business and asset strategy. Review spares requirements and vendors'' ability to supply critical assets. Complete major maintenance analysis, including review of component consumption and contractor labor, and realign tactics accordingly. Secure CEA funding approval for componentized items. Support decision-making on OPEX vs. CAPEX spend for maintenance activities. Monitor department budgets versus actual spend. Review asset condition and history for developing major equipment change-out tactics. Consolidate major tasks into logically sequenced work packages and maintain a rolling forecast of major component change-outs based on asset requirements. Enhance Asset Class planning through standardization and efficiency gains. Build strong relationships with site stakeholders through regular communication and occasional travel. What youll bring To be successful in this role, you will have: A commitment to safety for yourself and your team. A Bachelor of Engineering, Finance, or equivalent experience in planning and scheduling. A current "C" Class WA Drivers license. Experience in long-term maintenance planning within the mining industry, including mobile fleet, fixed plant, rail, or utilities. Expertise in financial budgeting and business analysis. Ability to perform data analytics and interpret information for stakeholders. Proficiency with CMMS maintenance modules, especially SAP if available. Advanced computer skills, particularly with MS Office (Excel, Project). An understanding of mechanical systems. Workshop facilitation skills. Proven ability to communicate and present at multiple organizational levels. Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders. A proactive problem-solving approach with a focus on effective solutions.
