Provides input to the Executive Director indeveloping and implementing strategic directions for theMidwest.Area Profile: The WA Country Health Service(WACHS) is the largest country health system in Australia and oneof the biggest in the world, providing health services toapproximately half a million people, including 45,000 Aboriginalpeople, over a vast two and a half million square kilometre area.Centrally located on the coast of Western Australian, the Gascoyneregionextends along 600 kilometres of the Indian Oceancoastline and about 500 kilometres inland with an area of 135,277square kilometres and a population of approximately 9,500 people.featuring Australias largest fringing coral reef.
