Do you have a background working with children and young people? Perhaps youre a retired education worker or child protection/welfare sector professional, or even a person with foster care experience? This position would be ideal for a person who has experience working with children and is looking to step into a casual role to suit a more flexible lifestyle.Reporting to the Team Leader, the Supervised Contact Worker position is responsible for providing high quality supervision for visits between children and/or young persons in care and their families. This position must ensure that the childs best interests are protected during contact. The aim is to facilitate a safe and constructive contact visit comprising of positive interactions between the parent/participant and child/children in order to build their relationship.We are looking for individuals who fulfil the following criteria:Tertiary qualification or working towards in a relevant discipline e.g. social welfare, psychology, education counselling etc.Current First Aid CertificateExcellent communication, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.Excellent observational and report writing skills.Ability to risk assess varying situations.Current drivers licence, comprehensively insured vehicle, mobile phone and access to a computer.Do you want to be a part of something great?At CareSouth, we recognise that the work you do every day is what makes our organisation great.
