Permanent Full Time | 40 Hours per week + ADOHS3 | $37.68 - $41.65 per hourAbout The RoleThe purpose of this position is to manage the staff and functions of the Switchboard/Enquiries team to deliver quality, person-centred services to Grampians Health (GH) consumers. The team handles external and internal telephone calls, emergency codes, responds to patient, visitor, and staff inquiries, and facilitates communication, patient, and visitor flow.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and issue staff rosters in line with EBA requirements; manage daily updates in Roster On, including shift changes, reconciliation, and paylock.Promote a respectful, communicative, and supportive team culture; address and resolve staff concerns, complaints, and misconduct transparently and in accordance with policy.Hold regular team meetings and maintain open communication channels to keep staff informed and engaged.Allocate and monitor duties to ensure completion; provide structured training and conduct annual Performance and Development Reviews (PDRs).Lead recruitment activities to build a cohesive team; deliver onboarding and ongoing training for both new and current staff.Maintain working knowledge of daily operations; evaluate, document, and refine processes to enhance service delivery; be available for on-call duties as required.Skills & ExperienceExperience in managing a medium-sized team with demonstrated ability to lead, direct, and motivate staff.Strong organisational, process, and change management skills demonstrating logic, critical thinking, problem solving, consultation, decision making, and implementation of workable solutions.Excellent verbal and written communication skills ability to listen, comprehend, and convey information to diverse audiences.Resilience.To see a full copy of the Position Description, please click here.Interested?Click APPLY or, if you wish to discuss the role prior to applying, contact Pauline Basilio, Director of Health Information Services at 03 5320 4861 for a confidential discussion.If you are currently employed at Grampians Health, please ensure you sign in through the ''Employee Login'' via the external Careers Page or access the Careers Page via the Intranet before applying.Applications are actively being reviewed as they are submitted, and the position will be filled once a suitable candidate is found.About Grampians HealthGrampians Health provides healthcare across a large region with campuses in Ballarat, Dimboola, Edenhope, Horsham, and Stawell.
