Cambridge University Press & Assessment seeks a detail-oriented and mathematically-minded Assistant Editor to join Melbourne''s dynamic Education Content Operations team. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional passionate about mathematics and education publishing. About the Role As Assistant Editor, Mathematics, youll play a key role in supporting the development and delivery of high-quality mathematics resources for Australian schools. Working closely with the Senior Editor, youll contribute to both print and digital projects, ensuring editorial excellence and timely delivery. What Youll Do Assist in managing and delivering mathematics titles across print, eBook, and digital platforms. Collaborate with internal teams including Production, Sales, Marketing, and Digital Publishing. Maintain editorial quality through meticulous editing, markup, and documentation. Support workflow improvements and manage reprint corrections and errata. Liaise with authors, typesetters, and freelance contributors to ensure smooth project execution. What Youll Bring A degree in Mathematics or a closely related field. Proficiency in LaTeX and familiarity with tools for creating mathematical diagrams and graphs. Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with calm efficiency. A collaborative mindset and strong communication skills.
