Pharmacy Retail Manager (Full time) Do you have experience working in a Pharmacy? Do you like developing connections with your customers? Are you able to successfully run the front end of a Pharmacy? We are looking for competent, flexible, hardworking and dedicated Pharmacy Retail Manager who understands the importance of teamwork, customer service, meeting budgets and taking pride in their work. Responsibilities This position is responsible for the day to day running of the Retail side of the pharmacy as well as managing the pharmacy staff (excluding the Pharmacist Manager and Compounding Manager who report directly to the Pharmacy Owner and Pharmacy Manager). During the probationary period, you will be provided with training to ensure by the end of your probationary period you are able to perform the inherent requirements of the position to a satisfactory level. The main duties of the position include but are not limited to: Managing floor staff and providing daily responsibilities and tasks within their grade level and in line with their position description Meeting pre-agreed Key Performance Indicator targets Learning and using the pharmacys electronic systems to ensure successful operations Arrange and facilitate monthly staff meetings with all staff In collaboration with the store owners, ensure the Strategic Plan is followed Preparing and reporting monthly budgets, stock and ordering Various administration duties including training (other staff in due course), participate in any new staff hire, induction and onboarding of staff Update and implement relevant store documentation Be responsible for driving profitability at the front of store by managing instore promotions and incorporating other value adding strategies Undertake daily banking TW Online Communications Walk the store Social Media & Marketing Implementation Enter accurate wage claim details for fortnightly staff payments Handle any staffing issues in collaboration with the store owners and off-site HR Responsible for opening and store procedures Be flexible and willing to occasionally work beyond standard hours when meetings are required or other emergency requirements Build trust and rapport with the team and create a strong, fun and cohesive team culture Identify any areas of improvement for the store and ultimately for the stores profitability Liaise with representatives as needed Be punctual, polite and professional and work in accordance with the stores policies and procedures Meeting and greeting customers and managing any dissatisfied customers Qualifications, training, attributes and experience : The ideal applicant will have the following: Minimum 2 years Retail Pharmacy experience preferably in a management role Minfos training or experience (or a willingness to quickly learn) S2/S3 training Proven previous management experience Ideally dispensary experience Must be computer savvy Be able to attend monthly strategic meetings with the pharmacy owners Be able to meet the hours required as outlined below under hours of work Attributes Motivated, flexible and hard working Accurate and have attention to detail Above average organisational skills Able to make a positive impression when dealing with internal and external people Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) Be able to display patience but also have high energy Have a consistent approach to your work Be approachable and able to address issues Be able to accept constructive feedback and respond in a positive manner This position requires the following hours of work: Monday: 9.00am 5.30pm, Tuesday: 9.00am 5.30pm, Wednesday: 9.00am 5.30pm Thursday: 9.00am 5.30pm Friday week one: 9.00am - 5.30pm Friday week two: 10.30am 7.00pm Saturday: Non-workday Sunday: Non-workday Hourly Rate (during probationary period while learning) and bonus incentives: During the probationary period while the Retail Manager is training and learning all their duties, the hourly rate will commence at $28.28 per hour (Pharmacy Award Rate for Pharmacy Assistant Level 4). At the successful conclusion of the probation period (6 months) if the employee can demonstrate satisfactory performance of all their duties as listed, the hourly rate will increase to $35 per hour. In addition, further incentives will be considered where budgets are met or exceeded.
