Administration / Office Support, Transport Operations & LogisticsMonday to Friday day shift, with possibility of flexible hours within your agreed shift patternPrevious experience in logistical planning or rostering systems is highly regarded!About the role:As a Rostering Officer, youll play a key role in creating and maintaining efficient rosters for operational staff, ensuring compliance, safety, and service delivery across multiple Aurizon locations.Prepare and manage efficient rosters, including leave rosters, for Locomotive Drivers and Terminal Staff in line with rostering principles and the Aurizon Enterprise AgreementEnsure compliance with the Rail Safety Management System, including fatigue risk management and operational readinessSupport crew efficiency through proactive rostering and use of the Crew Rostering ModelCoordinate training and assessment schedules in collaboration with Training and Operations teamsMonitor operational demands and adjust crew deployment, resource allocation, and service plans as neededContribute to business improvement initiatives and support the team in meeting performance targetsAbout you:Youre a detail-oriented team player with a strong safety mindset and a passion for efficient planning.Proven commitment to safety and demonstrated safe working behavioursExperience in logistics planning, rostering systems, and (ideally) systems testingStrong administrative and IT skills, including advanced Microsoft Excel and rostering softwareExcellent time management, communication, and stakeholder engagement abilitiesFlexible, collaborative, and able to remain calm under pressureWhat we offer you:At Aurizon, we support the development and growth of our employees.
