Offering impeccable service and a welcoming atmosphere, Batmans Hill on Collins is the ideal venue for guests visiting the city for leisure or work.We are looking for a skilled Chef de Partie or Senior Chef de Partieto take the lead in our kitchen operations, supporting our Head Chef to create exceptional guest experiences in our restaurant and conference and event spaces. You will have proven experience in a hotel environment, full working rights in Australia, and the ability to lead and mentor a small team. If you are motivated, enthusiastic, and have the drive and creativity to bring your ideas to the table to improve our menu selection and guest experience, we would love to hear from you!Job DescriptionRunning the shift with hands-on cooking and food preparation intrinsic to the roleAssist Head Chef with menu preparation and ensuring adequate supplies are available for expected serviceMaintain excellent presentation standards and cost control for all food and beverage outletsAssist with the implementation and maintenance of programs to ensure high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the kitchensBe a leader for the team by setting a positive example and supporting continuous learning and collaborative relationshipsSupervision of kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef. Delegate duties and responsibilities to kitchen employees to ensure service demands are metSubject to experience, above award rate may be offeredQualificationsMust havefull Australian working rights and availability to work 38 hours per week on a rotating roster Monday to Sunday, with an initial focus on dinner servicePrevious experience in a similar role, preferably within the hotel industryRelevant Trade Qualification and Food Safety Supervisor certificateExcellent technical knowledge with experience in a variety of cooking techniquesAbility to work independently, as well as part of a small teamStrong communication, leadership and organisational skillsCommitment to hygiene, safety standards, and food handling regulationsAdditional InformationAt Accor, we are committed to ensuring our people feel welcome and valued by creating an inclusive and supportive environment.
