About The RoleThe Australian Reinforcing Company (ARC) is seeking a driven Maintenance Fitter to collaboratively manage breakdowns, planned maintenance, and operational improvements at our Wallsend site.This role offers autonomy, a dynamic environment, and opportunities to showcase leadership skills. Training will be provided for specialised machinery. Work hours are friendly from 6am to 2:30pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime. Our team prioritizes safety, process, and a positive work atmosphere.Duties IncludeDaily planning and problem solving of service eventsOverseeing corrective and preventative maintenance on fixed plant and machinery, attending to breakdowns as neededTroubleshooting, fault-finding, and identifying improvement opportunitiesLiaising with trades in the workshop and external contractorsCompleting tasks with high quality and safety standardsProviding feedback and maintaining accurate records via maintenance management systemsIdeal candidates value safety, efficiency, and teamwork.
