You will also help with restocking supplies and other duties assigned by kitchen management.RESPONSIBILITIES:Demonstrate sanitation and food safety practices consistentlyHelp evaluate receiving spaces to ensure a safe and secure environmentComplete daily, weekly, and monthly tasks timely and accuratelyFollow company safety standards at all times and looks out for the safety of other team members and guestsCoordinate job duties around other opening team members to help ensure efficient preparation for openingPut food order away accurately, rotate stock in cooler, freezer, and dry storage area using the first in-first out (FIFO) method while monitoring shelf life and code datesMaintain a basic working knowledge of the operation of all the equipment in the restaurantComplete other miscellaneous tasks as assigned by the manager on dutyPOSITION DETAILS:This is a TEMPORARY position with SpaceX, for the length of time as stated, and is subject to change with minimal notice as business needs dictate.LENGTH OF POSITION: 3 months (permanent hire conversion is possible based on performance and business need)LOCATION: Brownsville, TexasBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:High school diploma or equivalency certificate1+ years of either restaurant experience, warehouse experience, and/or customer service experiencePREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:Restaurant experiencePorter experienceInventory experienceSelf-motivated and works well with othersCurrent and valid food handler card or equivalentADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:Ability to carry large heavy items unassisted such as large packages, dishes in tubs, or trays (up to 45 lbs.)Ability to stand for long periods of time - up to 8-10 hours a dayWillingness to work all shifts and available for overtime and weekends as neededFrequent bending, stooping, and lifting of objectsITAR REQUIREMENTS:To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. * 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. * 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
