Offering impeccable service and a welcoming atmosphere, Batmans Hill on Collins is the ideal venue for guests visiting the city for leisure or work.We are looking for a casual Commis Chefto assist our kitchen operations during busy periods, across breakfast, lunch and dinner shifts as well as conferences and events. Experience in a hotel or similar environment, working rights in Australia, and flexibility to pick up shifts at short notice are required. If you are motivated, enthusiastic, and have the drive to develop your skills, we would love to hear from you!Job DescriptionFood preparation for breakfast, lunch, dinner, room service, functions and buffet service.Ensure all food is produced in line with kitchen recipes and standardsAssist and communicate with chef on duty as requiredMaintain a clean and hygienic work environment whilst ensuring a product of high quality and presentation standards.Ensure strict stock rotation and minimum wastage and follow stock control proceduresKeep all working areas clean and tidy and ensure all equipment is maintained, serviced and cleaned.Communicate and collaborate effectively with front-of-house staffHospitality Award base rate of $27.17 per hour plus casual loading ($33.96 per hour base rate)QualificationsMust have Australian working rights and flexibility to work varied shifts Monday to Sunday as requiredRelevant trade qualificationAbility to work as part of a small team and to prioritise and plan tasksStrong communication and time management skillsCommitment to hygiene, safety standards, and food handling regulationsAdditional InformationAt Accor, we are committed to ensuring our people feel welcome and valued by creating an inclusive and supportive environment.
