Brief Description DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Duties May Include But Are Not Limited To Adheres to all standard operating procedures and policies Responsible for cash handling procedures Responsible for all communications applicable to their assigned area Assists in merchandising procedures Responsible for maintaining assigned area Delivers exceptional customer service through personal contact with customers Receiving Deliveries and management of invoicing/paperwork Checking off stock to invoice Stocking Shelves and Displays Performs store maintenance including but not limited to taking out garbage, cleaning, maintaining stock room Strong culture of safety at all times including the correct use of carton cutter, ladders & trolleys This position covers all operational aspects of the business. Additional responsibilities will be assigned by the Store Manager based on store needs. Essential Job Functions Stand entire shift Operate cash register frequently Move merchandise weighing up to 10kg and at heights of 1.5-3m regularly Ascend/descend ladders to retrieve and store stock Use stock trolleys and pallet jacks for moving stock Position self to kneel, bend, and stoop frequently, including in stock rooms and on the sales floor Communicate effectively with customers and staff both face-to-face and via telephone, exchanging accurate information Qualification And Work Skill Requirements Recent relevant work experience Commitment to providing excellent customer service Ability to multi-task Creative thinking Experience in cash handling and balancing cash register Strong numeracy skills PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES High presentation standards, professionalism, excellent communication skills with an extrovert personality, customer service focus, understanding of retail best practices, enthusiasm for teamwork, and enjoyment of connecting with people.
