The Centre reflects the Red Cross wellbeing model, emphasizing openness, welcome, and homeliness, mirroring health and recovery. The opportunity This role requires a love of the outdoors and gardening, as you will perform various gardening activities. Planning and organizational skills are essential for maintaining gardening schedules and equipment for future use. Key Roles and Responsibilities: Liaise with other volunteers and community members Contribute to events or activities at the centre Clean and maintain gardening equipment Provide meet and greet services to guests where required Perform gardening activities such as planting, watering, weeding, composting, mulching, and maintaining garden beds Gurney walkways and pathways General tidying and moving items in storage areas Participate in team meetings as needed Red Cross will provide training, ongoing support, and access to other opportunities within its humanitarian network. The impact As a volunteer, you will help those traveling for medical treatment feel at home and support their recovery through listening, empathizing, and friendly interaction.
